Q: How well prepared is the MCA to face the general election?
A: The MCA is fully prepared. Our national level election steering committees were set up last year to monitor the progress of all States. Since then, all divisional steering committees have also been set up and are moving into high gear, which includes door-to-door contact with the community. |

As this issue is dedicated to youths, The Guardian interviewed MCA’s man in a lead role in that arena – Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Dato’ Liow Tiong Lai who is also MCA National Youth Chairman. Despite his very busy schedule and the short notice we gave, Liow graciously made time for this interview and gave his views of the role for youths in nation building and specifically, whether MCA is leading Chinese Malaysian Youths. |
