KUALA LUMPUR: Six cosmetic products found to contain poisonous chemicals must be removed from the shelves as soon as possible.

MIRT expresses great vindication to hear that another eight (8) Central Committee Members including Dato’ Seri Chua Soi Lek have announced their resignation thereby paving the way for a fresh party election at the central leadership level.

On record, MIRT representatives had just delivered the resignation letters of thirteen (13) Central Committee Members dated 3rd March 2010 to the Secretary General of the party.

MIRT wishes to thank all party members whom have stood steadfastly through thick and thin with MIRT in the struggle to return integrity and dignity to the party.

In view of the forgoing, in accordance with article 41 of the party constitution, a fresh election at the central leadership level shall be called to elect a new dynamic team of Central leaders with integrity to lead the party and to fulfill the aspirations of the members.

MIRT shall render full cooperation and assistance (if so required) to the Secretary General of the Party to ensure a fair and transparent party election to be held.

KUALA LUMPUR March 2 (Bernama): A 22-year-old woman died of (H1N1)-related illness at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM), Kubang Kerian, on Sunday -- the first such fatality this year.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said Tuesday the woman was admitted to the hospital on Feb 15 after having fever and cough for eight days.

“Although not many H1N1 deaths occur now, the Health Ministry wants to stress that the disease is still active in Malaysia and hopes that society will continue to adopt preventive measures to contain the disease,” he said.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- Ministry of Health will embark on the Fourth National Oral Health Survey of Adults 2010 (NOHSA 2010) to determine the oral health condition and treatment needs of adults in order to plan better oral health programmes.
