Liow: New Debris Located in South Africa
A piece of debris was discovered along the southern coast of South Africa, near the town of Mosselbay, earlier today.

Based on early reports, there is a possibility of the piece originating from an ‘Inlet Cowling’ of an aircraft engine. However, further examination and analysis are required in order to verify if the debris belongs to MH370.

The Ministry of Transport (MOT) and the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCA) are in close contact with the South African Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on this matter. A team will be despatched to retrieve the debris.

MOT will provide updates as and when new information becomes available.
